A PRESS STATEMENT ON THE OCCASION OF THE OFFICIAL LAUNCH OF TEAM SUPPORT NIGERIA (TSN); A PROGRAM OF TRUE TEAM SUPPORT INITIATIVE AT TEAM SECRETARIAT N0. 2 EMBU STREET OFF AMINU KANO CRESCENT WUSE II ABUJA ON THURSDAY 17^TH MARCH, 2016.

Gentlemen of the Press.

1. You are most heartily welcome to the press briefing that marks the formal launch of TEAM SUPPORT NIGERIA (TSN), a TRUE TEAM SUPPORT INITIATIVE; Incorporated Trustees. We are a TEAM of young Nigerians, Entrepreneurs, Business People and Professionals who are determined in their resolve to see Nigeria succeed in the attainment of its best potentials, and are prepared to engage the socioeconomic system of the nation in a manner that brings visible benefit to the everyday Nigerian.

• To this end, the TEAM is poised to network and collaborate with every agency of government, the private sector, and the international community for the purpose of reaching out to all segments of Nigeria in need of one form of Kind Support or the other, to make a better meaning out of their daily existence.

• We anticipate the passage and implementation of the socioeconomic policies of the current governments at all levels as already enunciated in the 2016 budget estimates, with a view to ensure that budgets are made to work for the enhancements of the lives of citizens.

• We commend President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo for leading a government with clear indication of seriousness and purposefulness, for transparency and probity in governance; and for taking Nigeria on the sure path of moral rectitude, self reliance and home grown prosperity.

• We declare total support for the Anti-Corruption Campaign of the Federal Government and urge all relevant agencies in this all important assignment to be thorough, steadfast and holistic. We note for emphasis, that it is in the interest of Nigeria that we give our firm support to this drive for national rebirth, by our exemplary conduct in living the change we want to see in every aspect of our national life.

• We call on all officials of government as with every citizen and friends of Nigeria to look inwards, to encourage indigenous production and industry, to buy (promote) ‘Made in Nigeria’ products and services; as a way of growing the national economy, enhancing the pace of development and ensuring national prosperity.

• We appeal to all Nigerians at home and in Diaspora to shun every act of violence or criminality, to join hands with the government to rid our society of its regrettable ills and vices. This way, Nigeria can be for us a place we truly call Home. Where there is love and our combined labour leads to shared prosperity. Where happiness is indeed real and contagious, then (and) truly earns us the priced global trophy, the ‘Happiest People on Earth.

• We conclude by calling on the Federal Government of Nigeria to as a matter of urgent national action, initiate measures that will assuage and heal the feelings of injustice, disappointment, regret, neglect or horror; borne and expressed by different peoples and segments of Nigeria. To ensure that True Fiscal Federalism that guarantees; Resource Control, State Police (Policing) and Devolution of Power is wholly instituted through constitutional amendment, as a system of government that breeds the competitive development of states and regions, aggregating into national greatness.
